Bikini Bumps Treatment Ideas

10 Unconventional Ways to Treat Bikini Bumps

We're in the middle of swimsuit season, and that can mean red bumps around the bikini line after waxing or shaving. Before you head to the store for relief, take a look inside your medicine cabinet and kitchen pantry. We've gathered some of the more unconventional remedies that can be applied post-hair removal. Find out these DIY treatments after the jump.

  • Clear deodorant
  • Hydrocortisone cream
  • Paste of turmeric powder and rose water (plain water will work, too)
  • Coconut oil
  • Desitin Rash Ointment ($4)
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Crushed aspirin and warm water
  • Strawberry and sour cream mask
  • Men's aftershave, like Pinaud Clubman After Shave Lotion ($7).
  • Cucumber mash: a blend of three ice cubes, a peeled cucumber, and three tablespoons of witch hazel applied to this tender area will provide soothing results.

cortisone cream is a goody. also, try lotions and creams with oat/oat meal extracts.

My cousin did the deodorant thing and I looked at her like she was crazy. I put bag balm on mine and they're are still bumps but at least it's not hurting.

Crystal "deoderant" works great. Just apply right after a shave to underarms and bikini area and you won't get any bumps. The roll-on is easiest to use

I always have the urge to buy the products for men but I get too shy at the drugstore, I feel like the cashier will look at me weird, like I'm some diseased hairy person. oh well guess I'll have to try it.

Bikini Zone is effective, but the smell is just so awful! It's like the Buckley's dilemma.

The aspirin thing works, same thing as tend skin only cheaper and a bit messier. Would apply to ingrown hairs rather than freshly waxed skin.
