The Body Shop DeoDry Review

Finally, a Cheap, Aluminum-Free Sweat-Stopper

Team Bella loves a good deodorant (especially 'Pit Putty, which gives you a little drying help, too). However, there are probably times when you find yourself sweating and wish that someone would make an antisweat deodorant that lasts, but doesn't have aluminum or other chemicals in it. Enter The Body Shop's new DeoDry ($4). Free of aluminum salts and parabens, DeoDry comes in either a refillable roll-on or a stick. High rollers that we are, we bought both. So does it actually keep you from perspiring? To find out, just keep reading.

Yep, it does. So far, even going out walking on a sweltering afternoon with a jacket on resulted in no sweating. The formulas definitely do feel different. The roll-on is drier and lighter, while the stick is creamy, thicker, and a little sticky. Both are nice, although the stick seems to be a bit more heavy-duty, and the roll-on is probably better for keeping marks off your clothes.

DeoDry doesn't promise full-on stoppage of sweat — just 24-hour odor protection. The alcohol and perlite (a volcanic glass that's known for its ability to absorb water) in it definitely keeps you dry, and the Fresh & Floral scent smells rather nice — like rose and geranium oils. So if you're looking for a good daily-use product that will keep you dry without dubious ingredients, this one gets our vote.

I don't know if putting volcanic glass in my pores is anymore appealing than aluminum but it would be interesting to look into...

Went to purchase this and was told the entire company was sold out until next week. I am emailing the company to see if this is actually true.
