Hey, it's Kirby with your Bella Beauty Beat. At Cannes, ponytails are going upscale on some of the biggest stars in the world. And this simple style isn't just for the gym any more. You can easily pull off sophisticated version at your next cocktail foray, or even a midsummer wedding, using these leading ladies as inspiration. Frida Pinto attended the film festival as the brand ambassador for L'Oreal Paris, and showed off two high ponytails on the red carpet for the premiere of She went for a sleek, polished version, which added a '60s flair to her lime green atelier Versace gown. She followed suit at her photo call for Desert Dancer with a similar ponytail, this time opting for a messier, undone style. She added a modern touch by wrapping her hair around the actual ponytail and leaving her bangs to hang loosely frame her face. Model Natasha Poly was having a standout moment on the Cannes carpet, showing off her long blonde hair with a deep side part and low ponytail, which only added to the drama of her entire ensemble. Natasha played up the wow factor with a dramatic smoky eye, a plunging neckline, and a mile high slit in her Gucci gown and the deep part is trending in Cannes and not just a ponytail. Oscar winner Marion Cotillard is earning a ton of buzz for her new film, Rust and Bone, and made sure all eyes were on her with her unconventional take on the ponytail. Earlier in the festival, she kept things fresh, opting for a high ponytail to accent Calvin Klein number for a light, youthful approach.
