Full disclosure: I am not a girl who likes floral body washes. Anything that has even has the slightest hint of hydrangea, pop of peony, or lick of lily makes my stomach turn. That was, at least, until Caress Tempting Whisper Body Wash in Wild Peony and Red Plum ($5) fell into my lap. Peony and plum? Two of my nemeses. But after one use, I am a complete convert.
The pretty pink gel works itself into a delicious lather that was the opposite of saccharine. In fact, the scent was rather delicate; the plum neutralized the peony and created a harmonious fragrance that was surprisingly subdued. And instead of leaving behind an overwhelming scent once I dried off, I only caught small whiffs of Caress's body wash throughout the day, which were sweet, not sickening — kind of like the perfect perfume. Flower cynics, prepare to be converted into flower children.
