Castor Oil Review For Hair

Castor Oil Gets a Rave Reader Review

Here is an excerpt from OnSugar blog Naturally Obsessed:

I've read and watched so many reviews on castor oil that I gave in and purchased a bottle.  There are many uses for this oil such as fighting acne, constipation, menstrual disorders, etc.  But I of course was more curious to see what benefits castor oil would give to my hair.  It's been said that when used on a regular basis, castor oil works to repair and prevent damage and can hide the appearance of damage while improving your hair's health. That leads to thicker, fuller hair over time.  Castor oil seals in moisture and leaves the hair feeling soft and silky.

I've only used this oil twice, but I already love it! The consistency is more like a serum than an oil and it's thick, but not at all sticky. The smell isn't the greatest, but is not too overwhelming and doesn't linger. I used it to give a my scalp a much-needed massage and to set my braids for a braid out. When I was braiding my hair I was thinking that it may leave my hair a bit greasy, but that wasn't the case. Once dry, my hair felt very soft and moisturized. I'll definitely be re-purchasing this amazing oil!

Interesting! When I think castor oil I think of a Tom and Jerry episode where Tom had to take a spoonful and wasn't too happy about it haha. Gotta try this! Been looking for natural substitutes for hair serum. Thanks! :)

I think I would use castor oil as a hot oil. For some reason I have a bad experience when using it on my face. I need to get rid of it so I can try that Jamaican black castor oil.

I use the Jamaican Castor Oil as well! I love this stuff. I mainly use it on my face. I mix it with olive oil and just use it as a moisturizer at night. AMAZING

Ok I think I will be buying some - I've heard a lot of good things about it too but I just never got around to trying it. I was just on luckyvitamin earlier so i will add this to my order.

Yes...I love castor oil..I use it in my scalp oil mix, my whipped butters, and I even add a little to my conditioners (especially in the winter time). I actually got mine from Walgreen's. Thanks for the post.
