Is your holiday social calendar packed? Don't panic! InStyle shares 15 celebrity-inspired holiday makeup looks that will keep you looking flawless through the New Year!

The holidays are home to all things sparkly and bright, and judging by the festive gilded lids and poppy-bright lips that we're currently spotting on celebs, this season's makeup looks are going retro, offering up a modern twist on Old Hollywood glam. If you're still debating what to pair with your LBD, we've got you covered with tips straight from the makeup artists who created some of our favorite holiday-themed celeb looks.

What's in store for this holiday season? The red lip, as seen on Reese Witherspoon, is a tried and true classic, particularly relevant at Christmastime. Follow in the star's lead and give the bold pout an update by pairing it with contoured cheekbones and slightly smoky eye in lieu of minimalist makeup. By swapping your traditional black liner for a softer brown, and keeping your shadow in the same color family as your blush, you can play up all of your features without overshadowing the vivid crimson hue. Click through the gallery to see exactly how to get her look, and for more celebrity-inspired holiday makeup ideas!

Gilded Eyes and Berry Lips

The Oscar winner's gold-washed eyes and deep berry lips are perfect for the holidays. To make her peepers sparkle, makeup artist Nick Barose layered bronze and golden shadows using Lancôme's Color Design 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Kissed by Gold ($50) and Hypnose Dazzling Eye Brightening in 116 Or ($25) along the star's lids, crease, lower lash line, and brow bone. A bronze berry lipstick provided a final touch. To steal her exact shade, apply L'Absolu Rouge Lipcolor in Jezebel ($30).

Reese Witherspoon is a prime example that beauty rules are meant to be broken, playing up both her eyes and lips for a sultry old Hollywood feel at the London Film Festival premiere of Wild. Makeup artist Molly Stern took inspiration from Witherspoon's animal print Stella McCartney gown, saying, "I felt the dress gave me a perfect excuse to go for a little added beauty intensity," and paired deep navy liner with a bold red lip. Of the look, Stern says, "I wanted Reese's lips to be dark and dramatic without looking theatrical." First, Stern lined lips with Clinique's Quickliner for Lips in Chili ($16), a deep burgundy hue, and filled them in with a sheer raspberry red Clinique's Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Roomiest Rose ($17).

Just because it's cold outside, it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your summer glow. Take your bronzer into the winter months by pairing it with winged eyeliner like Jessica Alba. To get the look, makeup artist Quinn Murphy applied NARS Multiple in Vientiane ($39) on the edges of her face to create dimension. "Next, I applied Estee Lauder Black Gel Eyeliner ($28) along the top lash line, making the line thicker on the outer edges and giving it a flick for a cat eye effect," he tells us. After sweeping blush onto the apples of her cheeks, Murphy used NARS Powder Bronzer in Casino ($38) to subtly contour her cheekbones. "It's softer than a traditional taupe contour shade," he adds.

"Italian Movie Star Glam" set the tone for Gugu Mbatha-Raw's beauty look at the Beyond the Lights premiere, with makeup artist Nick Barose test-driving Gucci's new beauty collection to create a classic, yet sultry look. For the "sweet but naughty pink cheeks," Barose applied Gucci's Sheer Blushing Powder in Pink Camelia ($49), topping the look off with what he calls, "sultry, Sophia Loren eyes." As he explains, "I lined the eyes with Gucci Impact Longwear Eye Pencil in Iconic Black ($32)," and suggests lining the inner rims of the eyes "to add sex appeal in an instant." Set the look by curling lashes and applying several coats of mascara.

Why not give your traditional smoky eye a colorful twist like Camilla Belle? To draw attention to her peepers, makeup artist Walter Obal added a touch of blue using Dior's 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow in Carré Bleu ($60). He first dusted her lids with the palette's lightest shade up to the brow bone before blending the dark blue along the outer corners and lower lash line. Diorshow Liner Waterproof in Carbon ($29) emphasized her eyes even further. Gorgeous!

The supermodel attended Fashion Rocks 2014 in a makeup look fit for the occasion. Makeup artist Robert Sesnek kept Lily Aldridge's skin and lips neutral, creating the perfect base for an edgy smoky eye. Sesnek started by penciling around the eye with Laura Mercier Smokey Eye Palette in Grey/Black ($55) and Kohl Eye Pencil in Stormy Grey, ($24), adding depth by applying MAC's Eye Kohl in Smoulder ($16) along the waterline/rim. To finish the look, Sesnek coated lashes with L'Oréal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black ($8) and popped in a few falsies from Velour Lashes in Strike a Pose ($35).

Vibrant eye makeup, as worn by Amber Heard, will brighten up your trusty LBD in seconds. "We emphasized her eyes with a purple shadow and an electric purple liner followed by more than a few coats of black mascara to give the look more of a dramatic feel," says makeup artist Katey Denno. After filling in her brows with a bit of brown shadow, Denno contoured the star's cheekbones with a warm rosy hue. "To finish the look, I filled in her lips with the new Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands ($9), and topped it off with a light layer of Burt's Bees Lip Shine in Whisper ($7), and patted the product into the skin to take away any shine."

Redheads, take note: "I wanted to create a look that would show off Emma's features and juxtapose her warm red hair, while complementing the dark green shade of her dress," says Stone's makeup artist Rachel Goodwin. "I played with cool tones, using rich plums on her eyes, soft pink on her cheeks, and a see-through magenta stain on her lips." Once imparting a rosy glow on the apples of her cheeks using Revlon's Cream Blush in Flushed ($13), Goodwin applied a petal pink shadow all over the star's lid, and then defined the crease with an eggplant hue. After a few coats of mascara and a touch of liner, she tied the entire look together with a just-bitten lip stain — she applied a layer of Revlon's ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical ($7), and blotted it with a tissue to tone down the intensity.

Looking for a subtle way to wear shimmer on New Year's Eve? The supermodel's sparkling lids will add just enough bling. To get the look, makeup artist Lisa Storey used Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Seductive Rose ($79). First, she dusted the entire lid with the palette's pale pink shade, and then switched to the dark plum for the outer edges. "I then framed the eye behind the lash line with Tom Ford Eye Defining Liquid Liner Pen ($55), extending the line out beyond the lash line to give the eye a little lift," she says.

A vibrant lip like Odeya Rush will give your face a fresh pop of color. To let your pout take center stage, keep the rest of your makeup to a minimal. After dusting the star's lids with pale pink shadow, makeup artist Beau Nelson gave her cheeks a subtle flush using an illuminating cream blush in a pinky-coral shade. To achieve the same bold look, coat your lips with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss in Jealous ($18) to finish.

Come winter, swap your bronzy hues for golds, and let Kiernan Shipka act as your inspiration. Makeup artist Robert Sesnek was immediately inspired by Shipka's holiday appropriate dress, saying, "Once I saw the dress, I knew which direction to take. I really wanted perfect skin with a lit from within glow, and a pop of color on the cheeks and lips without going too dramatic, keeping in mind her age." For a quick holiday sparkle, Sesnek applied Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick in Moonlight ($28), lining the upper lid with Laura Mercier's Tightline Cake Eyeliner in Black ($24), and a swipe of Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara in Black ($32).

The mommy-to-be added extra drama to her already sultry smoky eye with gold and metallic accents in a look that's perfect for New Year's Eve. Dior makeup artist Ricky Wilson applied the brand's Diorshow Art Pen Intense Professional Felt-Tip Eyeliner in Catwalk Black ($31) to Rocha's lids, sweeping the liner up and out for a cat eye effect. To add dimension, Wilson dabbed from Dior's 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow in Cuir Cannage ($60), applying the palette's lightest color to the eye's inner v, and bronze tone just below the brow bone. For spider-like lashes, sweep lashes with Diorshow's Black Out Mascara in Khol Black ($25).

Lucky lady Camila Alves may have been on hand to help husband Matthew McConaughey accept this year's American Cinematheque award, yet caused plenty of commotion all her own in an allover bronzed look. Dolce & Gabbana Makeup artist Christian McCulloch, who was on hand for the couple's big night says, "Camila's skin is so naturally warm and glowing," and opted for products that complemented her already-radiant complexion. For subtle hints of bronze, McCulloch says, "I used the new Collector's Edition Bronzer to give the right dimension to accentuate her cheekbones, and added depth to her eyes with warm plum shades [Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Dahlia ($36)]."

A cherry red lip will instantly add a dose of glam to any ensemble. Just take it from Megan Fox, who kept the focus on her pout with flawless skin and minimal eye makeup. "It was really important to me not to use too much product on her eyes so all I used was a bit of highlighter and shimmer, and a very thin line of eyeliner," says makeup artist Monika Blunder. After adding a hint of color to her cheekbones, she swiped on Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Creme Lipstick in Icon ($30).

Emmy Rossum took a turn for the dramatic, walking the red carpet premiere of You're Not You in a stunning black Altuzarra gown and equally daring makeup look. Mai Quynh created a radiant base by applying Restorsea's Rejuvenating Day Cream ($150) and Revitalizing Eye Cream ($85) to Rossum's skin. For the mauve-toned bedroom eyes, Quynh used Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Liner in Taupe ($19) to Emmy's lids, blending it up toward the crease, and added a layered effect with eye shadow, telling InStyle, "I layered a shimmery mauve brown powder eye shadow on top of the liner and smudged the eye shadow along her lower lash line." Two coats of black mascara on Rossum's top and bottom lashes added a sultry touch.
