Coming Soon: La Mer Cleansing Foam

Leave it to La Mer to come up with a luxurious way to clean your face. Its new Foaming Cleanser ($65) contains jade and crushed pearls, deep sea algae fibers and magnetized tourmaline to help break down debris, dirt and makeup. The ingredient that's really getting attention is really the pearl powder, which contains restorative minerals and amino acids essential for healthy and bright skin.

La Mer Cleansing Foam is suitable for all skin types and is recommended to be followed by none other than Crème de la Mer. When it becomes available for purchase in January, do you think this is something you would buy? Or is $65 way too steep for a cleanser?

That's too much to spend on something that's just going to be washed down the drain... and I doubt it does everything it says, even though for that price it should...

Like everyone else has said there are good and way cheaper stuff out there like Cetaphil and anything by Palmers is amazing!

I would not spend $65 on a cleanser but if it really works then I guess it could be worth it. I'd need a sample and some proof that it would work for me first.

This brand is seriously over priced. I'm VERY happy with my Origins Checks and Balances.

If I have money to burn, I would definitely buy & try it. I can buy 3 of my cleansers for that price.

bella...i watched an episode of dateline (before they became obsessed with pedifiles) and they did a special on brand names/pricey products. they compared belvedere vodka with smirnoff (tasters couldn't tell the difference) and over a few weeks period also tested la mer...every tester thought it was neutrogena. interesting stuff! ;)

But I love La Mer!

Hmmm, I've been known to purchase over- priced products quite a lot. It depends how well it perfomed and how long it lasts; it's a bit of a con that you have to follow it with their moisturizer. I wonder if you can get samples; either way- I can't wait!

i'd try it once..but JUST once.

It's way too expensive for something that you just soak in for 20 seconds and rinse off immediately

Everything I tried from La Mer broke my face out, I don't know why, but, I'll stick with Obagi. Meow

I love Creme de la Mer and don't mind spending the $$ on that, but Cetaphil is my one and only as far as cleansers go. And it's only $10.

Hmmm.... no. Just because I think La Mer is way overrated for the results it gives. There are much more effective lines out there that are, yes, a bit cheaper. I think their products are more luxury-oriented than anything.

I would have tried it if it was really worth the price, but didn't read too many great reviews of it's other products :(
