Connie Britton's work on shows like Friday Night Lights, American Horror Story, and Nashville has earned her many accolades (including several Emmy Award nominations!), but she has just one secret that everyone's been dying to know. It's not her creative process, nor details about the work she does for the United Nations — no, everyone wants to know about her hair. After years of being asked about how she gets her strands so thick and lustrous, Connie is sharing her secret in a tell-all video.

"It's feminism!" she declares, whipping out a fake bottle of hair product. "When used regularly, feminism has been known to produce amazing results," said Connie, citing the right to vote, Roe v. Wade, Title IX, and more female-empowering acts as examples. The video feels almost like a pharmaceutical commercial, even rattling off side effects of feminism, including "a culture where gender-based violence is unacceptable, perpetrators are held accountable, and victims are not shamed."

Still confused? Connie partnered with The Representation Project for the #AskHerMore campaign, which celebrates red carpet reporters who go beyond asking female stars who they're wearing and to show off their fingers in a mani cam. Many celebrity women have commented on the gender inequality when it comes to interviews, noting that their male counterparts are asked serious questions.

The Representation Project is encouraging you to tweet at news outlets with #AskHerMore in anticipation of the upcoming Emmy Awards, even suggesting thought-provoking questions for the ladies who will be walking the red carpet. After all, while Connie Britton does have enviable hair, she said it best: "It's not what's on my head, but what's in it." Watch the video and prepare to feel empowered!
