The textured manicure is one trend that is still gaining momentum. Now, it's easy to find suede, foil, chalkboard, and other 3D effects in the beauty aisle, and Deborah Lippmann is joining the fray with her Punk Rock Nail Collection ($19 each). The polish has a sand-like finish that develops once you swipe it on your nails (you can't see it in the bottle). The lacquer dries matte, and the textured effect remains. You can also add a top coat for the same ridged effect with a gloss.
The collection is geared to Fall with a chertreuse (I Wanna Be Sedated), pale gray (Pretty Vacant), and navy shimmer (I Fought the Law). Lippmann actually used the hues backstage at New York Fashion Week for Fall 2013, so this is one trend you can wear right off the runway. We love it because something about the formula makes this polish chip-resistant, meaning you'll get a full week's worth of wear. Plus, it's a one-step wonder with no glueing or glittering required for a nail-art effect. However, the bumpy texture does make it harder to remove, but it easily makes up for that in the wow factor. Everyone will be asking to touch and feel your modern manicure.
