Do You Brush Your Teeth in the Shower?

Common products used in the shower: shampoo, conditioner, some kind of soap, shaving cream, face wash and toothpaste!? You see, several weeks ago at a dinner party, the majority of the guys in attendance admitted to scrubbing not only their bodies — but their teeth — while showering. It got me to thinking that maybe doing a little multitasking in my morning routine might not be that bad of an idea. So, tell me what you think about brushing your teeth while bathing.

I looove brushing my teeth in the shower. I feel like I can make a bigger mess with the toothpaste and it doesn't matter cause it's all gonna get washed away anyway! my teeth don't feel as clean when I just do it in the sink

i certainly don't leave my toothbrush in the shower for fear of bacteria but i do brush my teeth in the shower quit often. It feels so refreshing.

haha, it's so funny to see this because just the other day my friend was giving me such a hard time about brushing my teeth in the shower! "but it's multi-tasking!!!" lol, i'm really surprised to see that so many people are like me!

Most municipal water plants recycle, filter, and treat "wastewater," so it's actually not like you're wasting water anyway. You shouldn't just let the faucet run, but also don't let the enviro-liberals scare you.

I don't. I wash my body while the conditioner soaks in so I guess I save time that way. I'd rather brush at the sink and just use minimal water.

If any of you had actually read the comments before you, you'd know that it DOES save water. It uses that time while soaking/rinsing conditioner that would otherwise be wasted.

p.s. - people are saying it doesnt save time becuse you still have to spend the time brushing and you cant brush your teeth and scrub your body at the same time - i do it while i'm rinsing the conditioner out of my hair, which is really long so it takes the perfect amount of time.

i ALWAYS do it when i'm at school. the bathroom is on the complete opposite side of my dorm, so walking back and forth all the time to do my morning routine takes way too long. i brush my teeth in the shower so i dont have to do it whe ni get out of the shower while i awkwardly hold up my towel and drip water onto the floor.

I don't think it's weird or gross, but it's definitely NOT a timesaver - it's not like you can brush your teeth with one hand and your hair with the other! It takes the exact amount of time it would at the sink. Plus you're wasting a whole lot more water than you would at the sink. Add to that the fact that I use an electric toothbrush and I really don't see the appeal.

You can be fashionable and smart at the same time. Our world is overpopulated and we are destroying our resources. DON'T brush in the shower..IT WASTES WATER! Brush your teeth at the sink (without running the water.) Shave your legs BEFORE you get in or before you turn on the water. If we don't conserve, you may not get to shower in the water and other resources now!

No, I think that's a little gross.

I don't -- my sister does all the time and frankly, it's pretty annoying to comb the bathroom for the toothpaste, only to find it in the shower.
