Do You Wear More Than One Nail Polish at a Time?

Lots of people who use OnSugar blogs feature some pretty impressive manicures, using various shades of polishes to create intricate three-dimensional effects. And with celebrities like Beyoncé Knowles, Rihanna, and Katy Perry wearing multi-tonal looks as well, it's clear that the more-than-one-polish trend is having a moment. What about you? Do you frequently bust out multiple polish shades, or do you keep it simple?

Allytta, that's cool! I have painted my nails to match movies I was watching, as well :) I usually put way too much time into that. I usually don't mix colors though, unless it's Halloween or I'm going to a gay pride parade or, like I said, the movies.

I have been known to paint each nail a different color every now and then, but not all that often. I'm a purist, I like short nails that are painted. I really don't like nail art, I know it's hot right now, but it just doesn't work for me.

So fun to see everyone having such a great time with nail polish! However, as a retired nail tech and salon owner from Naples, FL. did you have any idea that so many nail polishes contain an ingredient called phaleates, that ingredient can cause breast cancer. Well I'm here to share with you that after 25 years of doing nails, I was diagnosied with breast cancer in 08'. More of the truth can be found at www.notsopretty.com let me know if I can help with info or anything else for that matters. Jamie Bakke

Allytta, I love the Avatar nails! I don't usually do designs. I don't even remember the last time I did. When I was in middle school, I used to love swirling two or three colors around on my nail with the pointed end of an orange stick... it looked like marble.

For me, not really. But then again I am cheap and I will be darned if I am going to pay my nail tech 5 bucks per nail for design. I might as well break down and get a Konad. *lol* Funny that you would post this article because I noticed girl with some colorful nails and they were pretty long, about an inch and a half long. Not my style since I have long fingers anyways and I prefer short nails.

Sometimes, if I happen to be doing a design or some type of fading effect. I have been doing this for awhile though, and I have alot of fun with it!
