Doing Drugstore: Sunsilk Winter Collection

New from Sunsilk is an affordable hair care range that consists of a Shampoo, Conditioner and Anti-Static Mist that helps prevent the dryness that causes breakage and split ends.

Winter Collection (which has adorable snowflakes on each of the bottles) not only gets you in the cold weather spirit, but it helps to nourish, moisturize and fortify hair during the cold winter months that are especially harsh on your hair and skin.

It is made with Vitamin D, silicone and silk that work together to help lubricate your hair to keep it smooth, shiny and controlled. Each of the products cost $3.50 and are available at Target.

For more on each of the three products in the Sunsilk Winter Collection,

.

  • Sunsilk Winter Shampoo is a hydrating shampoo that fights away static and breakage to result in a smooth and soft hair.
  • Sunsilk Winter Conditioner penetrates deeply to protect hair from drying out.
  • Sunsilk Winter Mist is a light and spicy smelling styling product that shields hair from the damaging effects of the cold. It can be used on wet or dry hair.

I like this line and I think my hair is way less static-y and bit softer after using the winter shampoo and conditioner.

Ooh I will have to try this. I love me some drugstore shampoo, and I have a serious static electricity problem!

The Sunsilk Winter Mist sounds exactly like a product from Frederic Fekkai's Winter Hair line that came out last year.. except for the light and spicy scent.

I am glad to help ladies. I was seriously disappointed because like SugarKat I really needed for my scalp to be a little more nourished than it was (we are having a harsh winter). My hair didn't feel any different clean-wise so it was good in that respect, but my hair started to get staticy and felt heavier than usual; and the scent is just not something I wanted my hair to smell like all day. SugarKat, if you need a great clarifying shampoo Sunsilks no problems shampoo is great. It really takes out product gunk and leaves it feeling and looking healthy. I don't know about winterizing because before this Sunsilk stuff came out I never thought about that really. I would stick with msgolitelee's suggestion.

I'm so glad that Sunsilk finally came to the states. About 6 years ago when I was visitng relatives in SE Asia, the only hair products anyone ever used over there was Sunsilk. I'm not sure if the formula is still the same, but it made everyone's hair look awesome.

Baiia: Pantene did it last year.

A lot of Bella's posts are just about informing about new releases, reviews are in a different section (or at least that's what I thought). I agree I'd like to read a review of this. After all the posts on Pantene having wax in their shampoos (as well as testing on animals), I realised I don't know much about hair products!

Sugarkat you should hit an Aveda salon for a moisturizing scalp treatment. I had one last fall when my scalp was really try from chemicals (color & relaxer). It was amazing. They massage the stuff in then shampoo out. My scalp was so healthy after that.

I agree with ur_momm, sounds like a ad, not a informative, try this it's great blog post. And after fashionhore's review, don't think any of us will be running out for this one. The description of the the fragance as light and spicy had me wondering how nice that could be and fashionhore answered that! Thnx

I was all set to buy them TODAY, but then i read fashionwhore's review and I will stick to what I'm doing. My hair doesn't have static now, but my scalp needs some winterizing.

I am going to tell everyone right now that I do not have a problem with static hair, but I decided to try it because I love Sunsilk. My hair was so staticy and terrible smelling because of these products. I would not recommend buying and using them because they basically do the opposite of what it claims to do!

Ummm is this an ad for sunsilk or a review? cuz it looks more like an ad... all it's missing is the "this post is sponsored by sunsilk" ... i wanna know if this stuff actually works.

I've used their leave-in conditioner - it's fantastic! But I agree with the other poster - I'd need it for color treated hair! I spend way too much on highlights to not take care of them. Also, just a question, why didn't they come out with this before winter? Tomorrow is February 1!!

I seriously need something to control the static in my hair. It's out of control! Maybe this would help. I've used their shampoo and conditioner in the green bottles (I think it's for curly hair) and loved it.
