Elizabeth Olsen may have two very famous older sisters, but she's blazing her own trail as an actress and style star. At the premiere of Martha Marcy May Marlene during the Cannes Film Festival, Elizabeth walked the red carpet in a glamorous black beaded gown and soft, feminine hairstyle. "My inspiration for Elizabeth's red carpet premiere look was a take on La Belle Époque, an avant-garde, soft finger waves ethereal updo, adorned with a modern Chanel metal chain headband," said Giannandrea, who styled the actress's hair for the event. To see how he did it, just keep reading.
Giannandrea began by using Kérastase Volumactive on Elizabeth's dry hair, blowing it out to achieve a voluminous dry texture. After brushing out the whole head, he then created a side part and waved the hair with a one-fourth-inch curling iron in small sections. Next, he brushed the hair again, and spritzed on Klorane dry shampoo all over. He then placed the Chanel headband on, and twisted the back of the hair into a soft bun, pinning it with volume to resemble a bob. A few waves were kept out near for face for a soft, youthful look.
