Elizabeth Taylor Lets Twitter Name New Perfume

Liz Taylor Launches Twitter-fied Perfume

The world of celebrity fragrance has officially come full circle: a full two decades after the release of the seminal perfume in the genre, White Diamonds, Elizabeth Taylor is coming out with a new scent. This one, a fruity floral, is called Violet Eyes ($52).

Dame Elizabeth wasn't always a proponent of the name, though. She felt it would be "conceited" to name a fragrance after her most famous attribute; she preferred Follow Me. In a move that was as surreal as it was surprising, she took to Twitter to let fans weigh in on the perfume's name. Next, I fully expect Betty White will be getting all up in my grill on Facebook. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

I am just pleasantly surprised that Liz Taylor has a Twitter account and here my father can barely turn on the computer *lol*. Well once he retires, he will have all the time in the world.

It is so exciting to see violet eyes, and so rare. I can't imagine what it must be like to have them... everyone probably stares all the time. I once dated a dude who had the most piercing eyes — so intense — and people were mesmerized by them.

I've always wanted violet colored eyes. Ever so often I see an older woman with them. Usually in her 80's. Sigh... Not because of her, but she was a stunning beauty.
