Let This Emma Stone Makeup Tutorial Take You Into Spring

If you're like me, you tend to watch award shows for inspiration on your next beauty look, because even though they're on a red carpet, many of these faces are painted delicately — as not to overcome the star's true beauty. Read: you could wear the look in real life and not look like a cartoon version of yourself.

That was the case with Emma Stone at the 2015 Academy Awards. Emma sported a guacamole green dress and paired it with a coral lip created by her longtime makeup artist of eight years, Rachel Goodwin. (Fun fact: Rachel did my makeup in my first on-camera makeup tutorial for POPSUGAR!)

Rachel swung by our studio to show us how she gave Emma her glow, the inspiration for the look, and how she created that pop of color on the lips. The key is layering two different shades on top of each other. Check out our interview for more pro tips.
