Hey, it's Kirby with your Bella Beauty Beat. New York Fashion Week was filled with new and exciting hair styles, from rocker braids at Rachel Zoe to conceptual bouffants at Vera Wang. Here's a look at some of the biggest hair trends for Fall 2012. Put away your curling iron, because straight hair is back. Whether it was air dried or flat ironed, this look was everywhere. Flowy long hair hung over Theyskens' Theory's cool downtown look, while Rachel Roy's rich fabric looks posh with a straight hairstyle. Ponytails are also keeping on trend, like at Zac Posen, who featured straight angles with his geisha-inspired updo. Big hair is back. Derek Lam channeled the 1960's with his models' hair, modernizing the look with a mix of ponytail bouffants and buns. Carolina Herrera provided larger-than-life bouffants to accent her collection, which mixed an Art Deco theme with her signature Lady like look. Vera Wang, always a step ahead, featured a more subdued, messier version for her structured collection. Braids are still going strong and several shows had them in a variety of styles. Rachel Zoe featured flowing hair with a strategically-placed braid, creating a rock 'n' roll straight out of Coachella. While Marc Jacobs' show included hair covered with giant, Edwardian-era hats, no detail went unnoticed. Underneath, two braided chignon, which added some fun flair. Be on the lookout for these hairstyles this fall and stay tuned for more trend reports. I'm Kirby and thanks for watching Bella Sugar TV.
