Gap Fragrance Returns

Gap Decides to Let the Grass Grow

Remember the Gapscent fragrance collection from a few years back? Heaven, Dream, Grass, Earth, and Om? They were crisp, calming, fresh scents that weren't too expensive. After giving my mom a bottle of Grass, she fell in love with the slightly sweet, fresh-cut smell. And ever since it was discontinued a few years ago, she's been trying to find a sniffalike scent to no avail.

So I really hope she doesn't find out that Gap has revived these scents; otherwise, I'll miss out on the "You're such a good daughter! How did you find this?!" praise she'll bestow when I mail her a bottle of Grass. She'll be glad to know, as some of you may be, that the scents haven't changed. Grass is still as fresh as it used to be, and now it's a lot easier to find.

Okay, after finally getting around to trying this, I have to say I love it! Grass being on sale yesterday helped, too ;) But I have this thing where I really hate most high-end fragrances. They always dry down and smell chemical and yucky. Grass, however, stayed true and crisp. It did smell a little like parsley, but I love the smell of parsley so it's all right :)Since MAC discontinued Greenify, I'm wearing Grass over Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel. It's not a perfect imitation, but it's a nice one.

I still wear Heaven because I found out they were being discontinued and bought 20 atomizers. It's my signature.

I loved Om in high school. It was like the cool scent. That and CK1.

Heaven and Dream remind me of junior high. Nowadays I'll be getting a bottle of Om. Love it.

In case they discontinue it again try Jo Malone. She seems to have a scent for everything (well, everything that smells nice).

Dream is a favorite of mine...I still have some left from years ago. I think everyone wore these Gap scents in high school..it was so popular!

I wondering if combining Grass with a vanilla perfume will approximate my favorite, late fragrance, MAC Greenify. Hmmm.

I loved Dream. That was the scent that I wore throughout high school. I liked Om and it was a woodsy like scent. I was never a fan of Grass. When Gap discontinued this collection, I thought I would never see these scents ever again. Now I can go to the store and take a whiff and reminisce.

mmm, Heaven and Dream! I loved the metal packaging - so hip in middle school - everybody wore those perfumes. The other scents, I didn't much care for. And they weren't very long-lasting, but they were fun. Nice "starter" perfumes....

wow those were all the rage in Jr.High ...we all traded them..and everyone smelled the same. the classrooms after gym class ended up smelling like a teenage citrusy wasteland lol.

Om was my very first fragrance purchase! I have a bottle of splash I keep around when I want to smell like the '90s. I can't wait to get the EDT!!!

the gap is a fine example of how restructuring can revive a business and i think that they know what their money makers are and if it means bringing back the scent collections, then i say do it. i remember seeing all the different types and smelling them, but i'm very picky about my scents - and these were light - and appropriate for the brand....

oh I remember how popular these were in highschool! I always liked Dream, but I can't remember what the other scents smelled like. I'll have to check this out next time I'm at the mall, just for old time's sake ;)
