Garnier Hydra Curls review

Doing Drugstore: Garnier Hydra-Curls Shampoo and Conditioner

It's somewhat bunk when directions say to use a shampoo or conditioner from the same line together for best results (skincare can be a different story). But I decided to do so when trying Garnier Hydra-Curls, because at under $4 each, I could. While I highly doubt my positive-ish results were from using the shampoo and conditioner in tandem, I thought it was worth noting.

Also worth noting is the little plastic bubble on the cap. Such a small thing, but when you've been unscrewing tops and sticking your wet hand in tubs of $30 deep conditioner (thus watering down the product), it's a reprieve. The scent of Garnier Hydra-Curls kind of reminded me of free gym shampoo, but I can't argue with the fact that my hair dried really soft and wavy, but smooth. The detangling abilities of the conditioner are stellar — I barely needed to brush my hair. Eight bucks is a small price to pay for that.

I'm doubtful of Garnier products. Not only does the bright green annoy the heck out of me, but MY HAIR FELL OUT a lot more when I used it. I immediately stopped.

I use Garnier shampoo and conditioner for dry hair, and I have no complaints. I like how the conditioner smells.

i have to agree that it's one of the most annoying things to read that you're recommended to use the same product line for both shampoo and conditioner cause it's like they are warning you that you won't get good results if you don't but at least you're saying that for the lower cost - it's not such a bad thing. i think that the forces behind garnier have a few good things going - a lot of people have had great things to say about all the products in their line -and the packaging is something that also makes me a bit happier to use it. i hate when i chip my nails on the cap trying to open it but with the little 'bubble lip' on these - it makes it soo much better.

I've hated every Garnier-Fructis product that I've tried.

Ha who knew I wasn't the only one that loves this line? I swear by it and its dirt cheap. My hair is also fantastic if I do say so myself ;-)

for my curly hair I've never found anythin gbetter than Healthy Sexy Hair. Their conditioner is AMAZING! I can actually run my fingers through my hair after the show, I even got my mom hooked on it. I've tried Garnier once and it was okay, but nothing close to my regular kind.

I've always used high-end shampoos and conditioners (I have very dry hair) until I was home and tried my sister's Garnier shampoo/conditioner. I could not believe how soft my hair was. I went out and bought the moisture ones for dry hair and love it!

Hey Cwinche! I've got naturally curly hair that used to give me grief whenever I'm in humid places, but it got SO much better after using the Garnier Fructis range for curly hair! I absolutely LOVE their products. They make my hair really soft and the curls way more defined. Less frizz. Plus I've always gotten compliments for the smell :) DEFINITELY go get it! [haha I sound like a crazy Garnier employee. I swear I'm not. I'm a student!]

i love the garnier sleek and shine. It smells really good to me. I have tried many different shampoos in all price ranges...and this one gives me the best results while appealing to my sense of smell.

Garnier always leaves my hair extra oily after three washings, I can't use any of their products.

I liked the scent of Garnier when I tried a sample. I am willing to try these. Has anyone done a review of Dove's new shampoo products or some of the new products for longer hair? Just wondering...:)

I tried Garnier a year or so ago and it left my hair a tangled mess. I'm reluctant to try anything by this brand again.
