We love a classic flowers and hearts manicure for Valentine's Day as much as the next beauty girl, but sometimes the remix is just better than the original (case in point: Beyoncé's "Flawless" redux featuring Nicki Minaj). Nail pro Jin Soon Choi updated the generic heart-themed manicure with a graphic spin. In this simple step-by-step tutorial, Jin Soon makes the negative-space nail art trend look easy. Plus, there's a preview of her Spring 2015 polish collection — the new pale pink shade called Doux won't yet be available for a few months. We can just imagine this high-fashion take on heart nail art coming down the catwalk.

Step Two

Step Two

Apply a pale pink nude by drawing a zigzag line closer to the center of the nail and filling it in to the tip. You should end up with what looks like two rectangles of different sizes joined together.

Step Three

Step Three

Using JINsoon Coral Peony ($18), trace over the zigzag above the first one. Make sure to leave enough negative space at the cuticle line.

Step Four

Step Four

Draw hearts at the pale pink layer using JINsoon Coquette ($18). Then apply a glossy topcoat.
