Have You Ever Worn Colored or Special Effects Contacts?

Have You Ever Worn Colored or Special Effects Contacts?

With All Hallows' coming on apace, I got to thinking about fakey colored and crazy special effects contacts. I went through a phase where I had, alternately, violet, hazel, and dark blue eyes, and while it was fun, the people around me didn't seem to think it was as awesome as I did. I've even worn special effects contacts (they were cat's eyes for Halloween) and I thought they were pretty fun. But what about you? Have you ever used something like this for an extended period of time, or even just for a costume?

colour-enhancing lenses. they made my baby blues pop even more :) they will work only if you have blue eyes or grey. basicly you need the same colour lenses as you natural colour, just to brighten it up.

I've never worn any kind of color or special effects contacts. I would definitely try them though if it wasn't too expensive to get them with a prescription, since I do wear contacts so I'm not blind. :) I've thought about getting some colored ones that are just a little bit blue to make my eyes pop out more, but I don't think I will, it's just not really worth the money.

i've never worn contacts ever, not for eyesight, vanity, or halloween...i doubt i ever will unless my eyesight gets really bad, and even then, i'll probably just wear glasses

My first pair of contacts were aqua, because I was 13 and my Mom wanted my contacts to be colored in case I dropped one I could find it. I've worn clear ones ever since. I like colored ones, but clear are just easy and I'm an easy girl!

i bought some white cat eye contacts for halloween this year in fact. Don't normally wear contacts, but i think for a special look on halloween or something its worth it, but that's about it for me.

I'd love to wear the special effects contacts, but I do have to wear prescription contacts, so they'd be cost-probhitive for me. lindac and fades - I think they actually do prescription for the special effects contacts. You'd probably have to special order them, though. I can probably dig up some websites that offer that option later today.

lindac- i'm pretty sure they do make prescription ones now---at least for the basic colored contacts. not sure about the special effects lenses, though...

I'd love them but can't wear them because I already wear prescription lenses - unless something's change and they do prescription ones now.

I've never worn contacts but if I did, I'd consider it for a halloween costume. I had a friend who used to wear colored contacts (blue, green, purple) over her brown eyes, and the colors seemed really fake and obvious so I think that tainted me from every trying just regular colored contacts.

I used to have pairs of blue and green contacts. Now contacts tend to irritate my eyes, so I just don't bother. But it was fun getting comments about how green my eyes were. I would love special effects contacts to go with my Halloween costume, but I just can't invest that much money into my costume, and it's not something I'd be willing to go cheap on.
