How to Apply Illuminator

Learn How to Highlight in All the Right Places

Even though it was a dark night at the Skyfall world premiere, Bond girl Naomie Harris's skin was radiant as can be donning a sheer, sequined Marios Schwab gown. To get a similar glow like Naomie, the key is to use an illuminator in all the right places.

Start by applying highlighter, such as Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Powder ($32), onto the center of the forehead in a star pattern. Then, sweep product down the bridge of the nose to the cupid's bow and chin. Through creating this luminous line in the middle, you're instantly brightening and lengthening the complexion by drawing the focus inward. Finally, go back and put a dab of product under each eyebrow arch and on the inner apples of the cheeks. Complete the warm-glow look with copper shadow, smudged eyeliner, and a soft rose flush on lips and cheeks.
