Hmm, I'm not sure if I would try this either. My concern is making the appliques even.

I don't know about this for me. My teen aged daughter will probably love this. I've mellowed and stay pretty neutral with my nails, especially during the summer. Cool idea and looks like fun. XO

So, is this product inferior to the actual Minx product? When I've had minx manis done theyve lasted at least three weeks, if not longer - but people on the Sephora site seem to be indicating a lot shorter wear time.

On examining the product on the Sephora site, I wonder if you might be able to use a more intense heat on these and get a longer lasting result? And I also want to clarify that when I say I get two uses out of the sheets, I don't mean that I can use the foils twice, but rather that I get enough product to produce two sets.

You can do a more permanent (real) minx manicure at home using the hair dryer as the heat source. I just buy the sheets off of ebay at a relatively reasonable price (often cheaper than the $15 one time use kit and I can usually get at least two uses out of them), cut to size and apply with heat from the hair dryer. While they probably don't turn out as well (or last quite as long) as if they had been done at a salon, they still look pretty amazing and last an average of a week (sometimes as long as two if I'm not super hard on them).

I think I'd probably mess these up just trying haha. Thankfully I have a salon about 5 mins away that does the minx nails.
