Jennifer Aniston always looks like she just returned from a fabulous beach vacation, but sometimes the star gets a little help elsewhere to achieve her signature golden glow. For the Horrible Bosses premiere in London earlier today, her sexy luminous look was in part thanks to her longtime makeup artist, Angela Levin, who used St. Tropez's new Gold Illuminator ($23) as her secret weapon. "It's so subtle, but makes all the difference," Levin explains. So to see her expert tips on how you can re-create Jennifer's entire red-carpet makeup palette, just keep reading.
"Jen already had a beautiful, natural tan for a base," Levin says. But if you wanted to give yourself a faux tan, Levin recommends St. Tropez's Self Tan Bronzing Mousse.
Using Chanel products, Levin started by applying Vitalumiere Aqua Makeup in B50 with a brush onto Jennifer's T-zone. Next, she mixed together and applied Illusion D'ombre shadows in Epatant and Fantasme on Jennifer's lids. She also used Les 4 Ombres de Chanel Eye Shadow in Smokey Eye, combined with Prelude (the dark colors only), for a subtly smoked-out effect. Two coats of Inimitable Intense Mascara on the lashes, along with an application of Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Canotier on the lips, brought it all together.
"To finish up the look and give it a final glamour and shine, I used St. Tropez Skin Illuminator in Gold on her arms and cheeks," says Levin, adding, "I [also] used the Gold Illuminator to add depth and definition on her cheekbones and shoulders to highlight her natural glow."
Gwyneth Paltrow wore the Gold Illuminator to this year's Oscars , as did the models at Zac Posen's Spring/Summer 2011 show in Paris .
