Omg, this was so helpful! I tried to do it on my own but added hair on the left side of my head, preventing me from achieving the lace effect!

argh. i thought it was how to incorporate lace/ribbons into a braid, which i desperately want to learn but keep messing up -.-

I've been loving all the braiding tutorials, Bella. I have always loved braids but, for a while, nobody seemed to be wearing them. For my super-long thick hair, it's a fun way to manage the "poof" and keep me from my usual boring style (up in a bun).

I'll have to try this. I've tried this before and it seems to mess up. I'll try the ear to ear and report back. French braids look so great and if done right stay put. But my arms & fingers hurt after a while :/

Great tutorial, thanks! (and that lady has gorgeous hair!) I'll have to give this another try - I usually always end up with a braid that's considerably thicker at the end than at the start, to the point it's not pretty. I'm obviously missing something.

I suck at braiding my own hair unless it is pigtails...
