Over $30 easily. Though, I do the mani/pedi combo, so it's around $50. I'm a perfecionist, so my nails have to look good. But I don't trust salons so I have my own tools & polish and bring it with me.

I do my own nails at home. It's cheap, and for a germphobe like me it feels safer.

I took a cosmetology class and nail tech. I know how to do all that stuff myself. I give myself a manicure every week.

i've never had a mani or a pedi, even for high school dances! i can't believe it! if i could go back, i'd definitely do it. my friend wants to take me for my first next week. i just fear that it's a nice chunk of change that i could spend on something i'd enjoy more, like clothes or coffee haha. or, ya know, save it for tuition. plus, my nails look fab when i let them grow out...i've always had them short for sports though!

I do my own at home. I've never had a manicure but I wouldn't be opposed to it for a treat. Maybe the hubby will do that for me.

I inherited the ability to grow long nails, so I have never understood the act of gluing fake ones on. And as far as manis, doing my own are therapeutic (and also forces me to sit still)!

I'd spend $15 to $30, it's worth it and those people doing nails do deserve to get that kind of money each day.

A pedicure is worth $25+, but for a manicure? No more than $15 is my rule, I just got a mani-pedi yesterday for $20 bucks and they look wonderful. I feel like it all depends on how blessed you were with your nails, some people are really good at up-keeping their own nails... others are not, and therefore always spend on mani+pedis, I can go either way, my at home pedicures just give me a backache but when i do them at home they look pretty darn good ;)

I do my own most of the time, but when I do go for a mani/pedi, I happily pay more to go to a clean-looking place. I have friends who go to the icky places for cheap, but I just can't do it. Ick.

When I lived in NYC I would get a mani for 9-12 bucks! Now that I live in Ohio they are all 16-20. It's killing me to pay $20 for a mediocre manicure.

I got a french manicure done a couple of weeks ago for an event and it cost me €28. I almost had to be resuscitated!!:o

For me, it's faster, more relaxing and easier to have someone else do it plus a professional pedi normally last me 3-4 weeks. It's great not having to worry about wearing flip flops or sandals. I also walk 12-15 miles/week and do pilates and yoga so the pedi is my treat for my feet.

I have actually never had a mani or pedi. Can you believe it?! I guess my reasoning has always been that sports keeps me from caring too much about how my nails look.

i go to the nail place for pedis- the spa a couple times a year for the pampering and the cheapie place more often for the polish. as for manicures- i'm not very good with keeping them good so i rarely go- a few times a year when i have an occasion, so then i usually spend like 15 or 20 bucks on it!

I like my nails short, and darker in the winter- pinkish/corals in the summer and I can do that on my own. But a pedicure- oh thats just wonnnnderful. :)

I would love to be able to get a manicure but my nail beds are soooo sensitive I can't even use clipper and they're sore after filing. I got acrylics once for a wedding (bride forced me to) and I could hardly use my hands for a day! My nails hurt just thinking about it!!!
