- Lighten up: If you start with a lighter-colored polish, chips will be less noticeable in the first place.
- The tip-off: Another way to prevent the problem before it starts is to finish off your manicure by painting a horizontal "stripe" across the top of the nail. This will strengthen the polish and help to keep chips at bay.
