This looks very stupid and your hair looks horrible.

1318 - i agree, I have the japanese foam "ball" rollers and they work really well. I find that with all no-heat curlers I have best results if I wash and blow dry my hair before putting the curlers in - usually while the strands are still sort of warm from the blow dryer. This defeats the purpose o f"no heat," however.

even looking at the professional video demonstrated by kevin murphy, i still find this device extremely clumsy, impractical, and impossible to achieve by oneself. look into asian hair curling gadgets if you want damage free heat free waves. japanese create much much more creative and user-friendly hair rollers than this crap. tsk

I think they're really cool and with some practice could be an easy (and quick!) way to add some volume. Especially for gals with long hair. Thanks for showing us how they work!

I definitely need to work with them more. I've seen great results with them, but I can't get it quite perfect just yet. Also, they aren't $180 — that was, unfortunately, a typo that should be fixed now. Let me know if you're still seeing that.

I thought this was an April Fools joke. Her hair looks WORSE after these things and not in the least bit bouncy. They don't seem to do anything that you couldn't already do with a roller (velcro, plastic or hot!) at home already. Ridiculous.
