How to Use Leave-In Conditioner

How to Get the Most Out of Your Leave-In Conditioner

Whether you're looking for help with detangling or frizz, there are a profusion of leave-in conditioners available — from volumizing to softening curls to heat-protecting. After figuring out which one will work for your hair type (try a light spray for fine hair, a cream for thicker hair), simply squeeze out excess water after your regular shampoo and conditioner regimen. Lightly towel dry and apply your leave-in, focusing on the ends or wherever dryness has stricken. Some women with curly hair like the no 'poo method by using natural remedies cleansing, like vinegar and baking soda, along with a touch of leave-in conditioner to augment their routines. What about you? Do you use a leave-in?

EricaJane, you are 100% correct - nothing does compare to the Aveda Elixir. My dear friend is still in mourning. I got the last two bottles at my salon when I heard it was discontinued, and I gave her one. She is still hoarding the last few drops. I love that about her.

nothing compares to the deceased Aveda Elixir. Which one of these is a heat protector? (oh, and Aveda does have a new leave in, it's Damage Therapy leave in treatment).

I just got my first bottle of Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla leave-in conditioner. I love it. It smells really good and leaves my hair amazingly silky. I used it on my toughest customer, my daughter Bella, last night, and she likes it, too. It left her hair very smooth.
