Huge Implants Burst on Plane

Implants + Turbulence = Lawsuit, Unintentional Hilarity

Planes and implants don't mix — if you're the owner of Russia's largest fake boobs, that is. Model Irene Ferrari is suing a Swiss airline because she apparently sustained some damage to her size 44J chest when her Moscow-Zurich flight experienced turbulence. How, exactly, can turbulence injure an implant? Pravda, Russia's most established newspaper, has a pretty amazing English-translation piece that answers that question. Additionally and amusingly, it also suggests that even translated into English, Russian still sounds like, well . . . stereotypical American ideas of what Russians sound like.

The accident occurred when Irene smacked the seat-back in front of her with her breast, causing an already-defective implant to rupture. She's suing the airline because she thinks her business class seat should have been roomier. According to Pravda, "the lawyer thinks she have good chances to win as they have witnessed who could support the claim." What do you think? Should Irene (who's sued about her implants before) get a pay day, or, as the newspaper more darkly suggests, "It looks like it may be dangerous to be the owner of huge breasts. But it is easier to believe that not a very popular model Irene Ferrari is just working for her PR"?

Oh my gosh, thank you for posting this, Bella. My favorite part of the article: "She said she always flies business class because the distance between the seats is larger and she can fit her breast well. It turned out that on that particular flight business class seat was no different than the economy seat."

Uhhh....this is ridiculous. How the heck is the plane supposed to avoid turbulence, and why on earth should they make sure first class is room enough in the event someone happens to smack their fake boobs on a seat? The things people sue for just boggles the mind.
