From Katniss' braids, the electric hues of capital residence, we predict the hair in The Hunger Games is going to make a statement. So you're here to make me look pretty? One key factor that brought the book to life was the colour expertise of Cherry Petenbrink who did all of the hair colour from Jennifer Lawrence to Elisabeth Banks, and over five hundred extras and she's here to tell us all about it. Look how beautiful all of this is, first of all. I mean, kudos to you. You did five hundred extras with these wigs how do you even possibly begin? After reading the books and realizing that it definitely was a huge focus. I decided to start, really play with the colors and seeing how they could be incorporated into more commercial colors versus your more avant-garde runway shade. Jennifer Lawrence from a bombshell blonde to a very matte brunette. What was the reaction after seeing the final product? We finished her hair, you know were halfway through the color build in process and at one point she's like, "Oh, it's perfect I love it let's do this." So, I'm like one more application and we'll be there. When we took the towel off and started blow drying it and she was really excited. Elizabeth Banks went through the biggest transformation out of everybody in the movie. I presented, I think four to five different shades of pastel pink to get the right perfect shade. So, by the time she was done with the hair, make-up, all of the accessories, including glitter butterfly's and gigantic flowers, she just became the character. This is obviously Effie's. The idea was to keep mixing periods So we wanted to do elements from the twenties and thirties and the forties, as well as even going back to Victorian and Edwardian day. With this baby right here. I think this one's my favorite. I kinda thought this is inspiration for me, for catching fire. I know Effie is gonna have to be changed up a little bit. She's gonna need some new color options. So to me this would be an amazing option. Cherry, thanks for coming by, we had so much fun with these wigs, and we can't wait to see the movie. Now that we've previewed all the wigs from the movie, we're ready for the Hunger Games to begin. I'm Kirbie and thanks for watching BellaSugar TV.
