Beauty Products You Didn't Know Existed

Our beloved beauty brands have secret lives we don't know about. So many products from around the world mean that whenever I travel, I have to hit up the local drugstore. Of course, I have no idea what some of these products actually are for, but they are nonetheless fascinating, as is how a room full of execs decides that Americans don't want to try Nivea Intensive Cream hair mask but Egyptians totally do (it has lotus blossom, so no doubt smells amazing). Garnier's line of "UVSKI" products (which appear to be sun protection for skiiers) for the Netherlands and Maybelline China's Eye Studio palette look so good I could almost travel across multiple continents for them. I'd also hit up Ireland for those adorable tins of Rosy Vaseline and Sephora France for that cool analog-looking face mask. Any global goodies you've fallen in love with?

pharm_chick, i use Lakme hair serum before drying my hair. it's amazing. didn't think it was indian though. It says it's made in Barcelona! And also i like gillete razor from Lithuania, as the moisture strip on them lasts forever.

Russian cosmetics is amazing, especiaily face and body masks. Also I enjoy Germain department store kind make up and skincare Artdeco and Italian Deborah -they're amazing. And Swiss Prestige liquid eye liner - the best brush ever, it took me one try to learn how to line my eye (i'm a virgin in this area).

neem tree oil/creme and boots products. Oh, and it's not really a beauty product, but there was this crazy mouthwash in the UK that uses static to pull things off of your teeth that you had no idea were there...like, even after brushing and flossing, spitting after using this stuff was beyond disgusting.

Im pretty sure that Biore pack is those blackhead strips, wet them, put them on your nose and the blackheads stick to it once its dry. I love those but cant find them in the UK (only AU).Also, I love Crystalli hair serum from Italy. We order it in especially as its just that good. You can buy it in AU but not in the UK!!! Or online if you speak italian lol

I'm from Germany and we've got Nivea hair care, face care, cosmetics and so on... In Hamburg there's even a Nivea house where they treat you with the products :) Check this out:http://manager-lounge.com/testimonials/vangelder/nh_eingang.jpg

Shahnaz Husain's herbal/ayurvedic line of products are simply unmatched in their quality and efficacy. I use hair mask, lotions, anti-zit masks, neem-based bodywash and herbal kohl from this line. Shahnaz Husain's ten times better than Sundari and maybe 1/5th as cheap. It's been around for more than 2 decades, even before ayurveda and holistic beauty became buzzwords.

It annoys me how execs think we wouldn't like to have these products in the USA. I would love to try these items.

while i was in india i discovered a line called lakme.. its made by india's unilever company.. and its sooo amazing; they make everything from makeup to face wash, shampoo, body wash, moisturizers etc.. and it was soo good to my skin. im not sure if its because its probably whats best for 'indian' skin.. but it def worked. i brought back a bunch of stuff and will probably restock on my next trip there.

LaBello has been available in canada since i was little but they recently changed the name here to nivea as opposed to the former labello. Still the same great product though!

YES! While in Germany, I "discovered" LaBello. From my understanding, it's made by the same company as Nivea. The LaBello lip balms are super moisturizing, some are lightly pigmented and there are many flavors to choose from. The Nivea tinted lip balms and glosses have launched in the U.S. recently but the flavor/color variety (Pearl, Passionfruit and Cherry) pale in comparison to the Labellos available in Europe. Nevertheless, they're the same product and worth purchasing (Cherry gives my lips a perfectly popsicle-stained look).
