J. Mendel is synonymous with luxury and glamour, but the beauty look for Spring 2014 was all about adding an athletic vibe. "This is my first time doing this show, so I'm being a little rebellious," said lead stylist Anthony Turner for L'Oréal Professionnel. He wanted to create something a little different to offset the feminine clothes, so he opted for a slightly androgynous look. "The top is smooth with a deep side part for the masculine part, and the back has soft, natural waves for the feminine."
Makeup artist Gucci Westman for Revlon played up the sporty side with glowy, bronzed skin and finished with a glossy burgundy lip. "It's boyish glam," she quipped. And Jin Soon Choi used Revlon ColorStay Nail Enamel in Trade Winds ($8), a sheer nude, finished with a matte top coat to play off the textures in the clothes.
