If you've got Lady Gaga's stamp of approval, then you're good to go. Such is the case for Jacquie Lee, the stunning Selena Gomez look-alike on Christina Aguilera's team on The Voice. And if it's not enough that the 16-year-old made it into last night's finale (the winner will be announced on NBC tonight), Lady Gaga revealed via Twitter that she's both a fan of Jacquie's pipes and look. She tweeted: "Been catching up on THE VOICE, I love @jacquieleemusic Beautiful girl with a beautiful voice! Vote for her monsters."
We're just as sweet as Gaga on Jacquie's style — especially her enviable long, thick hair. Though she's performed on the show with both straight and curly locks, we were into her sleek yet voluminous style last night when she performed "And I Am Telling You" from Dreamgirls, "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse, and "We Remain" from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (with her coach Christina!).
What made her ombré hair so perfect was that it had texture without looking messy; plus, the center part gave it a '70s vibe. To copy the look, coat your strands with a defrizzing balm, like Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Oil-in-Cream ($46), and then blow-dry with the nozzle pointed down and perpendicular to hair. Use a fine-tooth comb or round brush to smooth your strands as you dry. Run over it with a flatiron — but don't iron it too much or you'll lose the volume. You can always just do the ends to keep the height at the roots. Or blast your crown with dry shampoo for extra oomph, and you're stage-ready!
