Jennifer Lopez Finds a Home With L'Oreal

Jennifer Lopez is leveraging her sleek hair and perfect skin to become a global brand ambassador for L'Oreal. The singer/actress/designer just inked a multiyear, multimillion dollar contract with the company to represent a number of its lines, starting with ads for EverSleek hair care products in 2011.

Jennifer promises that her campaign will be different from the average spokesmodel's, saying, "How you look and feel is very important to how you portray something. So what I wear and how the hair and makeup is and how I move and choose to move in the campaign says a lot for the product and what we are trying to portray." Given how successful her never-ending line of fragrances has been, La Lopez is clearly a good business bet. But do you think Jennifer and L'Oreal are a good pairing?

Roma is right on the money. All of these spokeswomen have tons of extensions and fake lashes etc. Beyonce is one of the worst spokeswomen because she wears a full on weave. I remember Chris Rock saying something about Beyonce's endorsements for Loreal hair products to this effect: "If you want hair like Beyonce then you're gonna have to buy it".

Oh, I forgot to say that I understand they want exposure for their products with paying these celebrities endorsement. But, their credibility is at line when their commercials are so deceiving.

I honestly don't care what celebrity is endorsing a product. Usually the celebrity doesn’t even use the product personally. It’s all about $$$. Plus, in the commercials the models are either wearing fake lashes or hair extensions. Obviously Jennifer is wearing hair extensions and has a team of hairstylist working for her, does anyone think buying a product she endorses will give them the same hair? Come on. Celebrity endorsement says nothing about the quality of the product. I wish companies would listen to the consumers A) cut our celebrity endorsements, B) don’t use fake eyelashes or hair extensions in mascara/shampoo commercials.
