Kate Hudson Hair Tutorial

Get Kate Hudson's No-Product, Bardot-Inspired Waves

Kate Hudson is the queen of effortlessly cool hairstyles, like this Brigitte Bardot-inspired coif she wore at the Clear History premiere in Los Angeles. "We didn't have to use any product for this look, just amazing tools," said Kate's longtime stylist, David Babaii, who used three key items to achieve the sexy style: a T3 Featherweight Dryer ($250), an Ibiza Round Brush ($36-$48), and a one-and-a-half-inch curling iron.

Starting with wet hair and working in sections from the bottom up, Babaii blew out Kate's strands with the blow dryer and round brush. He then used the curling iron — on the ends of the hair only — to form random, subtle bends throughout. To finish, he flipped Kate's bangs with a round brush for that perfect amount of retro flair. The result was, according to Babaii, "very '60s but with a modern twist."
