Kelly Osbourne Uses Hairspray as Deodorant 2010-08-13 04:00:00

Kelly Osbourne Has a Little Hairspray Problem

A majority of Bella readers admit that they've accidentally taken a beauty product for something else, but apparently Kelly Osbourne is also a member of the mistaken cosmetics brigade.

Yesterday, she twittered that she'd accidentally sprayed hairspray instead of deodorant into her armpits "again." Clearly, it's an issue she's run into before. If you've had the misfortune to mistake one beauty product for another, what did you do to make sure it didn't become a repeat performance? And have you ever had a funny case of product "mistaken identity?"

Once my sister picked up a small sponge that my mom had used to apply capsaicin cream to her sore back. She thought it was her makeup sponge and basically rubbed capsaicin all over her face. After about thirty seconds, she started crying and her face & eyes turned bright red. It wasn't pretty!

I put triple antibiotic ointment on my toothbrush. Exactly the same shape as the sample-size toothpaste you get from the dentist. The color, thankfully, gave it away.

I rubbed makeup remove all over my face before noticing the texture was different from my toner. My skin felt so oily and gross! Also, I keep a sample-size mascara in my purse makeup pouch. It's the same size as my lip gloss. I've pulled it out and almost applied mascara to my lips a couple times.

I once nearly removed my mascara with acetone. I started buying eye make-up remover in tube since then.
