We typically think of scalp-soothing, antidandruff shampoos as overly clinical and medicinal. So when I heard about Klorane's Shampoo with Peony ($20), I was a little skeptical. My scalp was a little worse for the wear after this Winter, and I found myself scratching at more than the typical tickle (as gross as that is). This hair cleanser is made with peony extract, and I thought it smelled just a little too sweet to actually do anything worthwhile. But after one shower, I was a complete convert. The Klorane formula incoporates an ingredient called paeoniflorin, which has been proven to soothe against irritants and free radicals. So this is one shampoo you'll want to use all year.
