1 Beauty Blogger Reveals Quality Issues With Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits

People are wild about Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits for understandable reasons: they look flawless on Instagram, whether on lips or in packaging. However, people have also aired their grievances with Kylie's product. Some tubes were delivered damaged, and there was reportedly a glitch on the company site that leaked shoppers' personal information. Now one blogger has analyzed (in great detail) another claim that has been floating around the internet: Kylie's Lip Kits are the same formula as Colourpop's matte liquid lipsticks.

Stephanie Nicole discovered that the two products are nearly identical. While she found the Colourpop product to be of a slightly higher quality, she also found that it has a few more ingredients than Kylie's. Stephanie also pointed out (as POPSUGAR did last year) that both Colourpop and Kylie Cosmetics are owned by a larger company called Seed Beauty.

Fans of Kylie's Lip Kit have long pointed out the similarity between Colourpop's product and hers, so the star confronted the rumors on Instagram admitting she was "friends" with the founders. But considering that the color and consistency of her products have evolved to be more like Colourpop's, shoppers are once again getting suspicious about the relationship among the makeup mavens. Even more frustrating to those on a budget, the official Lip Kits are more than twice the price of Colourpop's equivalent.

While we're going to give her the benefit of the doubt in the meantime, we're anxiously awaiting Kylie's response to Stephanie's claim.
