Nineties style has had a total renaissance in 2016: choker necklaces, grunge makeup, and exaggerated lip liner all made their comeback this year. And now, we're astonished (but, quite frankly, thrilled) to report that glitter gel is hot again.

Thanks to celebrity colorist Danny Moon, who has painted the strands of stars like Kylie Jenner, Nicole Richie, and Halsey, this oft-maligned beauty accessory has been made ultra wearable. His collection of high-shine gels, Major Moonshine, is predominately designed to dazzle in hair but can also add sparkle to skin. (It's especially captivating when dabbed onto each woven section of a braid: see Nina Dobrev from this year's American Music Awards for proof.)

While this is definitely a fun formula to test at a music festival, it's also a simply stunning option for any holiday soirée. Use a light hand for a more subtle shimmer or really pack it on for an intense glow! Read on to see more examples of Major Moonshine in action and to shop your favorite shades.
