Riding on the coattails of his highly anticipated makeup line, Marc Jacobs Beauty, which launches today, Marc Jacobs is taking yet another bold step into the cosmetics industry: the opening of his first store, dedicated entirely to beauty. Located at 385 Bleeker Street in Manhattan, the street where the other stores in Jacobs's mini empire are located, the beauty hub boasts all of the pieces from his makeup collection. Also available in-store will be Jacobs's collection of perfumes.
While this is the first beauty-centric store for Jacobs, Robert Duffy, president of Marc Jacobs International and the designer’s longtime business partner, doesn't rule out the possibility of more. "It depends on how it does," he told WWD. Duffy also hinted at the possibility of Jacobs expanding into other products, like furniture and jewelry. Aside from this new addition to Bleeker Street, Jacobs's beauty line is also available in a bevy of Sephora's brick-and-mortar stores starting today.
