Margot Robbie Brunette Hair Change in Z for Zachariah

Do You Recognize Margot Robbie as a Brunette?

Since Margot Robbie took the silver screen in The Wolf of Wall Street, she's been gaining cred as one of Hollywood's sexiest blondes — which is why we were so shocked when she shared a photo on Instagram of herself sans makeup with mousy brown hair. The caption read "First day on set for Z! She ain't a Duchess no more." It was in reference to her upcoming role in the sci-fi flick Z for Zachariah, for which she made this major hair-hue change.

But perhaps Margot's makeover wasn't so random. As she recently told our friends at POPSUGAR Australia, "Every time I see the words blonde bombshell it kind of makes me cringe! If I can lose the blonde for a bit, I’d be happy."

She went on: "I’m about to jump on a plane so I haven’t spoken to the director about it — but I think it needs to be a mousey brown color for this role. Keeping it very limp, very of what it is — boring hair! I need the character to look as young as possible and I tend to look a little younger when my hair is a light brown color. So we’re going to keep it very not done, and maybe put a brown rinse through it so it looks like a mousey brown."

We understand she need to go from Marilyn to Audrey for this role, but we want to know if you're a fan.
