Mary J. Blige plays a soul-singing Foxy Brown-esque character in Rock of Ages, which is released this week. But at the premiere of the '80s-metal film, she opted to channel an earlier decade with her 1940s victory roll hairstyle. The vintage updo was modernized with a small braid added along the top of the roll. Mary finished off her look with a bright red lip color to complete her pinup persona. Retro hair is always an admirable choice, but tell us: was Mary's look a red carpet victory in your book?
