Maybelline Full N’ Soft Mascara Review

Mascara Madness: Maybelline Full N’ Soft Mascara

It's time again for Mascara Madness, in which we make our colleagues try out beauty products to see how they work in the real world. (Tough job, but someone's got to do it.)

Today's contender is Maybelline Full N’ Soft Mascara ($6). This drugstore mascara promises "full, soft, thick lashes without the brittle feel." Does it deliver? To see how this standby stacks up, just keep reading.

Pros:

  • As it promises, it really does keep lashes soft.
  • It provides natural-looking fullness and length.
  • Doesn't run, even when our tester is kicking ass on the soccer field.
  • Removal is a breeze; it comes off with cleanser and water.

Cons:

  • Reapplication isn't necessary, but it does help at the end of the day.
  • If you like a big, thick, dramatic look, this isn't the right mascara.

Advah- That's a good point. I love the mascara, but I do find it very difficult to remove. Even the next day I feel like I'm still washing it off.

Ha it actually gives me really thick, long lashes but I always have racoon eyes when I get out of the shower, no matter how much makeup remover I used beforehand. Guess it all depends on lashes (and makeup remover, clearly). That used to be my favourite until I discovered Max Factor.

Too much black liner to really see the mascara in the photo.

I've been using since 99', which is when it came out I think... Sarah Michelle Gellar was in the ad, and her lashes are AMAZING. She never has to wear fake lashes. I have thick lashes, but I want them to be longer and eve thicker. It keeps them soft and never crunchy.

I used to be addicted to the waterproof version, it really holds curled eyelashes well. It took ages for a tube to start to clump. Now I'm occasionally using the normal version, and it doesn't really do much to hold a curl, but it's still a pretty good mascara.

This is a great basic/everyday mascara.

I've used the waterproof version too, though I feel like it dries out in the tube before it expires. Also, the heavy black eyeliner of the model doesn't show much of the mascara's abilities.

This used to be my mascara of choice. Nice and light for every day wear.
