The models on the Michael Kors runway always look breezy and beautiful, and Spring 2014 was no different. Like Michael's past collections, sporty beauty was a common theme in the makeup, hair, and nails. Lead makeup artist Dick Page wanted an effortless makeup look with defined features. "You can sense a brow or a lip or the eyes, but everything's just a little bit diffused," he said. A slight berry flush on the lips, courtesy of Michael Kors Lip Lacquer in Dame ($24) and two types of bronzer — Michael Kors Bronze Powder in Glow and Flush ($50) — created a healthy, vibrant look.
Lead hairstylist Orlando Pita wanted the girls to look like they'd come off of a night out. A messy, loose bun with plenty of free strands was pretty but had a bit of an edge. And there were no hair elastics in sight; Pita created the knot using just twists and pins. Jin Soon Choi swathed the nails in Michael Kors Nail Laquer in Hint ($18), which she was calling a "foundation nude," a color so effortless that it blended into each models' individual skin tone.
