Victoria's Secret Angel Sara Sampaio Did Her Own Hair For the Show

As someone who has attended the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show multiple years in a row, I can confirm: the 2016 season in Paris will feature the best bombshell hair yet. For the second year in a row, celebrity stylist Sarah Potempa's Beachwaver S1 curling iron was the official tool used backstage to give all of the models beach waves.

The Beachwaver tool is genius (I am a personal longtime fan and user) since the rod spins on its own, eliminating a lot of the curling work. Basically, you clip the end of your hair in (I usually take a two-inch section), press the "left" or "right" button, and the wand spins up. Release the clamp, and you are left with a perfectly twirled ribbon. And with a bit of fluffing and textuzing spray, it will drop into a gorgeous beach-wave shape.

This curling iron was so popular and is so easy to use that several models including Sara Sampaio and Rachel Hilbert did parts of their own hair backstage before the catwalk. Potempa confirmed this fact with Vogue.com.

"The look is sexier than ever because we are in Paris!" she told me backstage. "We are going back to iconic Victoria's secret hair — beautiful, sexy, more movement. Last year was a little more boho and second-day tousled. This year is more Paris sexy glam. It has beach waves and amazing gorgeous separation. We want the girls to be able to flip their hair. It's more voluminous with volume on top."

When it came to products, she finished the look with a bit of texture and cream. "We used anything that will feel healthy and touchable," she added.

Sitting second row at the show, I noticed how bouncy and wavy the hair looks (last year, like Potempa said, it was a bit bended instead of curled).
