NYX Glitter Cream Palette Review

Love Glittery Eyes? Then Meet Your New Best Friend

It's rare that I find an eye shadow that impresses me with its staying power, much less a glittery one, but the NYX glitter palette does the job nicely. And the best part? It's only six bucks.

Basically, it's a set of five "multipurpose" cream glitters, although I can't actually see myself using them anywhere but my eyes. I applied the glitter creams right after I got to work, and by the end of the day they'd barely shifted (which on my hooded eyes is pretty much a miracle). The bronze palette's center color looks and wears a lot like Urban Decay's Midnight Cowboy Rides Again ($17), one of my favorite shadows. All in all, it's a fun and inexpensive way to get festive and a good way to wear glitz on hot nights.

Ahhh, I couldn't agree less. I ordered some of these glitter creams and the texture is so gritty and coarse that I would be afraid to put it anywhere NEAR my eyes. If the glitter migrated into my eye, I'm pretty sure it'd scratch my cornea. Goddessru -- It really depends on what you're buying from them. The cream glitters are so chunky that I'll never try to use them on my eyes (and I have no clue where else I would possibly want to use them). I haven't tried any of their regular eyeshadows so I can't comment there, but their lipsticks are great. Their round lipstick (which I think is $3 a tube) isn't exactly MAC/UD quality, but it's noticeably nicer than drugstore lipstick for an even lower price. Their Black Label lipstick (which is I think $7 a tube) is amazing -- especially for the price! It applies really smoothly and evenly, and lasts for a good amount of time on your lips. I actually prefer it to UD's lipsticks because the UD ones reek, haha.

I keep hearing rave reviews about NYX. Is the quality really comparable to higher end brands like UD and MAC, etc? Does it really stay all day and the texture/consistency non-cheap?
