Every season, we ask the same question: "Is nail art dead yet?" According to celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann , the answer is a resounding "Hell no!" We caught up with some of our favorite nail artists backstage at New York Fashion Week Fall 2014, where we also spotted the top manicure trends for this year. Half-moon designs, matte topcoats, and almond-shaped talons await you. Plus, we've included the exact polish shades, so you can copy the colors yourself.

Lead manicurist Cinnamon Bowser used Zoya 's Art Deco Goddes and Peony Princess to create this neon half-moon manicure.

Cinnamon Bowser started with a nude polish like Zoya  Cho or Chantal. Then, a iridescent top coat was applied, Jane or Tasha. Finally the red accent was added near the cuticle using Zoya Sasha.

Tracylee and the Sally Hansen  team debuted the new Fall 2014 polish collaboration with Reese backstage. Some models wore a silver and red glitter called Chili Flakes, while the rest wore a gray named Somber Bliss topped with Shattered Stars, a chunky metallic confetti.

Katie Jane Hughes started with Butter London 's Union Jack Black  ($15) as the base for the "tweed" nail art. Then she used a striping brush to add horizontal and vertical lines in Billy No Mates  ($15), Stag Do  ($15), Blagger  ($15), British Racing Green  ($15), and Pearly Queen  ($15).

Katie Jane Hughes started with Butter London  polish in The Black Knight  ($15) to the tips of the nails. Then she applied Diamond Geezer  ($15) at the base. Finally, Stardust  ($15) and the Anorak glitter (available in March 2014) went over the entire nail. Diamond-shaped confetti was the last step.

Essie  pro Michelle Saunders created a floating bejeweled nail art look on the ring finger that included seven polishes. To get the look, open up a bobby pin and use the tip as a dotting tool. Dip it in the colors and make a series of polka dots that open up into a floral starburst pattern. The center is a glittery hue called Set in Stones  ($9) that looks like a jewel.
