Naomi Watts's Hair at the Salt Premiere

Get Naomi Watts's Studio 54-Inspired Hairstyle

If you think Naomi Watts's look last night at the Salt premiere had a Studio 54 vibe, you'd be right. That's exactly the feel stylist Robert Vetica was going for when he created her hairstyle. Inspired by Naomi's metallic Gucci minidress, Vetica also added a bit of '60s British pop vibe to the style. Digging this look? To find out how to get Naomi's sleek, blunt bob, just keep reading.

  • The cut: Vetica started by cutting two inches off of Naomi's hair. (If you want a similar cut, ask your stylist for a blunt style that falls at the collarbone, with the front being slightly longer than the back.) As for the bangs, Vetica cut them long and blunt, and then texturized them with a razor so they'd swoop to the side with ease.
  • Prep: Vetica applied Moroccanoil Light ($39) to smooth, detangle, and tame frizz.
  • Styling: Next, he blow-dried the hair, shaped it, and used Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine ($24) to give Naomi's hair lots of shine.
  • The finish: Finally, spritz on hairspray for hold. "I did a couple of quick mists from about six inches, then put a comb through the hair right away to loosen the look while keeping its hold," Vetica said.

How is this look Studio 54? When I think of Studio 54 I think big, bold, wavy/curly and wild. Not sleek and tamed. I think the stylist got the look all wrong.
