I think it would be much easier to create this hairstyle by first curling hair. Then, do the ponytail loop..create some messiness, and put a few bobby pins in, to hold hair in place..then, use hair spray. :)

Hey kscinotta. These girls are most likely doing a couple of shows a day. I am sure their hair has been washed at some point within 36 hours. The stylists are pretty much working with hair that has product in it from other shows....that's what makes them so good - they can work with all types of hair! I hope this helps.

kcsincotta: Hair that hasn't been washed the day of show has more natural oil in it and holds better. Models have to wash old styles out of their hair I am assuming so perhaps they use a wax pomeade to help with hold. Also, I like how these stylists always act like everything is so easy. *Shot of model with hair shaped like the Eiffel Tower* Reporter: Oh, how did you achieve this beautiful look for all of our readers at home? Stylist: You use one hair pin and twist it a few times, crimp the edges and spray the top with a little bit of extra hold, darling.

I love the messy knot bun look. But not the front of her hair, I'd make the front and sides smoother.

I'm always curious when they say that they're working with hair that was washed the day before. During an event like fashion week, aren't most of the high profile models (like Stam) and even the not so high profile models in multiple shows a day? So theoretically, wouldn't they have to wash out that morning's hair style for the next show? So here's the question, I guess. Are they working with really gross post-show hair from the morning, are they actuall working on pretty clean hair that they spray tons of crap on to make it not so clean, or am I wrong and these girls only do one show a day?
