Oh Man: An Eye Gel For Guys

Guys are guilty of vanity, too — especially when it comes to aging. But it seems like the guys I know are going through an inner struggle, where they want to look good but don't want to buy prissy products. That's why I was intrigued by this B. Kamins Chemist eye gel, formulated specifically for men's skin to fight the effects of aging.

B. Kamins Chemist Male Anti-Aging Soothing Eye Gel ($42) sounds like something I'd want to borrow. It combines the cooling properties of a depuffing eye gel with the moisturizing effect of a lotion. That way, you get immediate calming action plus long-term benefits, like the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. (Thanks to Uncrate for the tip.)

Oooh my guy would totally love this!! He flies overseas a couple times a month and suffers from puffy eyes!! I'll have to check it out...No, men don't need their own lines but at the same time, most men have much stronger skin than women and products reflect that. Ever tried your boyfriend/husband's Clinique scrubbing lotion when you run out of your own stuff?? HOLY SKIN BURN BATMAN!!! And I have very strong skin but that stuff was insane!!!

bpjedi, I completely agree. I don't think men NEED their own line, but it makes men feel better about being prissy, I mean manly. :oy:

THANK YOU!! Living in the South and being exposed to (unintenional) sun year-round I am addicted to my eye cream and worried about my skin aging, and my boyfriend became a little too interested also after asking me about why I use it (he is also in the sun a lot) now I can get him his OWN and he won't have to hide it from his guy friends :)

I've sworn by the use of eye creams (gels when I was younger) for years. When my fiance realized the korres one I currently use is good at minimizing bags minutes after you apply it (it also as a wee bit of natural sunscreen, which is always a good preventive, no?), he started swiping it from the medicine cabinet. He's also taken to swiping my shampoo. I'm sure he's not the only guy who mooches his girlfriend's products. I don't really think that men necessarily need different products for everything (Bliss' ingrown hair removal stuff would be just as good on a recently shaved face as a recently waxed bikini line), but I think that you're totally right that a lot of them feel like they're being prissy if they buy a product that says FOR MANLY MEN WHO ARE MANLY or the like all over it. I think that it is mostly an ego thing, and I certainly can't blame cosmetics lines--many of whom have developed a separate men's line, like Neutrogena and Clinique--from cashing in on men's egos.
